My unique professional background includes:

  • Master of Counseling degree from Regis University
  • Professional training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction under the direction of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Dr. Saki Santorelli of the University of Massachusetts Medical School Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society
  • Professional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a mindfulness-based psychotherapy
  • Coursework in ecopsychology at Naropa University
  • Clinical training in career counseling at the University of Colorado at Boulder
  • Master of Arts in Cultural Geography at UCLA, focusing on people’s attitudes toward and relationships with their culture and environment
  • Personal history interviews since 2004 (Everyone Has A Story)
  • 12 years facilitating adult education courses
  • 12 years developing innovative curriculum materials for adult and K-12 classes
  • Travel to six continents and throughout the United States
